It is a great honor to have Derrick Y. part of the DuctTesters team. The California Association of Building Energy Consultants (CABEC) designed a voluntary mastery certification program for energy consultants to be able to showcase their working knowledge and understanding of the California Energy Efficiency Standards. Individuals wishing to hold this certification must meet a list of qualifications and pass an exam in order to receive a certification. Derrick met all of the CABEC Certified Energy Analyst qualifications and recently became an official 2016 Nonresidential: Certified Energy Analyst (CEA). The qualifications included Derrick passing his CEPE Exam, holding at least one year of experience performing energy compliance calculations, participating in Professional Practice Workshops (PPW) and attending at least six hours a year of continuing education.
